Frequently Asked Questions

Where can we have our wedding?

One of the great things about a Humanist wedding is that you can hold your wedding ceremony wherever you want, as long as you have the owner's permission, it does not have to be at a licensed wedding venue.  This means that you can get married at home, in a field, in the woods,on a beach, wherever suits you!

How far in advance should we book our ceremony with you?

As soon as possible!  Weekends in the summer months get booked up very quickly, and I only conduct one wedding per day!
I am currently taking bookings up to 2025.

2025 £775.00

A non-refundable deposit of £250.00 is required at the time of booking to secure your date, this is included in the fees given above.

Are Humanist weddings legally recognised?

Humanist weddings are currently legally recognised in Scotland and Northern Ireland and Humanists UK is working hard to get them the same legal recognition in England and Wales.  At the current time if you want your marriage to be legally recognised you will need to arrange for a simple registration to take place at a registry office.  I can give you more information about this if required.
